Jess Morgan is a songwriter’s songwriter. She writes gutsy modern folk songs which are full of sadness and bite; singing with a unique measure of British swagger and sensitivity. Her melodies will ring in your ears for days and her stories will play on your heart long after.
2018 saw Jess release steady stream of new songs – which have all been well supported by BBC Radio including The Folk Show on BBC Radio 2 and a number of independent stations in the UK, Ireland, Europe and the US. Jess was also nominated for an Independent Music Award for songwriting with ‘In Brooklyn.’ At the start of the year Jess supported A-ha! On their MTV Unplugged tour opening their arena shows including the closing show at London’s O2 Arena.
Jess makes no secret of her long-standing fascination for the analogue and old fashioned. Having honed her method, Jess will bring out another single on homemade 7” vinyl and will stage her first exhibition on October 26th 2018. More announcements to come…
