Nels Andrews is a literary songwriter, a journeyman in the craft of melody who is here to tell you a story. One of Nels’ heroes, Anais Mitchell says of his work, “Nels is a master carver, an artist patient and obsessed enough to turn a whale of an idea into something delicate and beautiful from any angle.” Nels is based in Santa Cruz, California.

Jess Morgan writes gutsy modern folk songs which tell stories and are full of sadness and bite. Trash Magazine called it “The sort of thing you put on your headphones when walking alone and wanting to feel like you’re in your own gritty British love story.” Jess lives in Norwich, UK.

Their co-headlined show promises to be a tour-de-force of narrative songwriting, from which the audience can take home a gig souvenir with a difference… Jess and Nels tour in 2019 with books as companion pieces to their music, with which they hope to satisfy the thirst of the collectors, the avid readers of record sleeves and lyric sheets, or anyone feeling lost in the digital age.

Willy Porter, the man who Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull once said of Willy's guitar playing. "Thank God he doesn't play the flute", will be making a welcome return to Biggar after his , outstanding performance at 'Biggar Little Festival 2018'.

Our James Grant gig (2nd November) has now SOLD OUT, but we are absolutely thrilled with the news that James has agreed to play a second night at The Corn Exchange.

Tickets for our first night were sold out nine months in advance of the show and within ten days of being announced, so if you want to catch the man this November, then you had better book your tickets quickly. We can definitely say, there will be no third show.

A captivating young performer; Sunjay is an extremely talented blues, folk guitarist and singer/songwriter. Well known on the UK folk scene, Sunjay is an artist with a rare mix of youth, combined with a seemingly effortless mastery of the acoustic guitar. There have been a clutch of award nominations, including winning the Wath Festival Young Performers Award. He also made the final selection for the BBC’s Young Folk Award in 2012, had three nominations at the Exposure Music Awards 2014 and was also recognised by the 2014 British Blues Awards.

Edinburgh-based 5-piece The Wynntown Marshals formed in 2007 and have been described by the Metro as “arguably Scotland’s strongest band” and regarded by The Herald as “the best Americana band outside North America”.

A Sam Baker show is a celebration. Some songs tell of everyday people who survive life's daily challenges; others are stories of growing up in a small Texas prairie town. All his shows are an acknowledgement and appreciation of the pure joy that comes with people gathering to listen to live music.
