‘The Wee Gig’ is quite possibly the hidden gem of the live music scene in the South of Scotland, with an ever increasing number of international artists insisting that one of our venues is a ‘must’ on their UK tour.
From our base in Abington, South Lanarkshire, we take regularly take our concerts around venues in the ‘nine villages’ of ‘Glencaple’, bringing quality live music to the residents of our sleepy hamlets and villages.
2015 – Guarenteed quality music from January to December.
This year we are excitedly preparing for your entertainment, a multitude of amazing artists, some already ‘well kent faces’ to Wee Gig audiences, others who will be performing with us for the very first time. Starting in January with an intimate gig from Melbourne’s adopted Belfast Troubadour, ‘Andy White’, we plan to bring you some of the best talent touring this year in the UK. Why not keep your diary open for the return of Canadian star ‘Annabelle Chvostek’ in May, or join us to give a Wee Gig welcome to Scottish bands Adam Homes and the Embers, and Manran. In April we excitedly await a debut performance from our youngest visitor, Luke Jackson, and in July we have the return of a huge favourite (still a secret).
Later in the year what ever you do, do not miss the chance to catch some of the best talents America has to offer when we hold our second ‘Americana Autumn’ series of gigs. The line-up will be announced later in the year.
Tickets for all are available to purchase by calling 07966 243587, or by calling in at The Abington General Store, AJAY’s Corner Shop in Crawford, or Arcadia Music in Biggar. We have also introduced the opportunity to purchase tickets securely on-line for the first time. Links are available on all the concert pages. it may also be possible to purchase on the night but tickets normally go fast and pre-booking is recommended.
Even better, why not also register with us and we will send you information on each ‘Wee Gig’ as they are announced
