    • The Wee Gig is excited to be part of this year's Biggar Little Festival, and to bring along two of our all time favourite artists.

Willy Porter, the man who Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull once said of Willy's guitar playing. "Thank God he doesn't play the flute", will be making his Biggar debut, having wowed those who had attended his previous Abington and Crawfordjohn gigs.

Willy will be accompanied on the night by arguably one of the most powerful voices in English Folk, the ex-young musician of the year, Luke Jackson. With comparisons to Richard Thompson and Jeff Buckley on his C.V., what reason on earth can there be to miss this 'one-off' festival appearance.

    • Willy's Bio.....

Willy Porter is a seasoned solo performer who honed his songs traveling across America and Europe playing to captive audiences everywhere. His songs are equal parts muscle and intimacy, and reveal a rarely achieved relationship between an artist and his craft. Hailing from the swamps of Milwaukee, Willy has forged a connection to his fans from his earliest performing experiences that would continue to reverberate even when opening for the audiences of artists like Tori Amos and Paul Simon. On one legendary night in Nashville, in front of a room full of some of the world's best guitarists, Porter, with just his voice and an acoustic guitar, earned a standing ovation from an audience primed to see electric guitar-hero Jeff Beck.
